In case Nvidia ever makes the driver for it, Intel's high performance dual socket gaming platform will support Quad SLI. Intel claims that its Skulltrail supports enthusiast graphics, and it doesn't list AMD parts there.
Intel is happy to say that the new platform has 4 PCIe graphics slots and that is ready for quad graphics support. It later elaborates that Intel means Quad SLI, not quad Crossfire support.
This platform also supports 8GB FBDIMM memory and two QX9775 with FSB 1600 and 3.2GHz clock CPUs that we mentioned in the previous part.
Intel plans to launch this new Platform in Q1 2008.
