Phenom FX80 to ship in late October

Written by Fuad Abazovic

Hard launch in mid November

Our sources have confirmed that AMD plans to unveil the first Phenom FX80 in late October time. The shipping version will likely be the same revision as the currently shipping K10 Opterons and some other sources claim that this part will work at 2.2 to 2.4GHz at launch.

The samples should be ready by late October but the hard launch should take the place in the middle of November.

I doesn't look that AMD will go faster than 2.5GHz this year but we've been surprised before.
