Barcelona K10 not available today

Written by Fuad Abazovic

Not in retail or from Server OEMs

We tried to find a Barcelona in both retail and from the big OEMs such as HP, Dell and we haven't had any luck. Opteron 23xx series or Barcelona is still not listed in any server configurations we looked over the web or any store we could think of.

This will likely backup our few months old story that K10 in its serious form is indeed a Q4 product and even once it gets shipped it will work at a very modest 2.0GHz clock.

The future of AMD depends of how fast the company can ramp up the speeds of the current parts and AMD desperately needs to get to 3GHz clock to be considered as a serious player.
