But not the Xtreme Edition

The latest Intel
roadmap have a few interesting details about the highly anticipated Yorkfield and Wolfdale CPUs.

The fastest quad core that wont make it to Xtreme edition will work at 2.83 GHz with 12 MB of cache, FSB 1333 and the first shippment in Q1 2008.

Xtreme Edition clock still remain secret and that probably depends on how good the Barcelona is. Yorkfield Quad core will also be available at 2.66, 2.50 frequencies and all these frequencies are currently scheduled for Q1 2008.

The top Xtreme Edition will likely be clocked higher at 3 GHz but Intel still hasn’t changed its mind.
