Computex 07: Barcelona ready


Not only we had a chance to play with Barcelona we had a chance to crack one server open and see what is under the hood.

 

Well unfortunately for us there were no any CPUs inside but we got a good look at the socket 1207+. This particular server is the same as many shipping today and you can plug an Opteron socket 1207 in it today and it will work.

 

Barcelona will work in this socket or server as well, but we still have to wait and see the real availability of this part.
