Since Geforce GT260 with 216 Shaders and 55nm is out we tried to overclock it and we were surprised to learn that it overclocks exactly the same as it 65nm older brother.

This won’t get better as a few people confirmed that 55nm card is a cost down version of the original GT260 board and that it won't overclock better. We are talking about the first batch of Nvidia reference design and of course the usual overclocking suspects will do their best to make their own 55nm GT260s that will overclock a bit better.

We've learned that the GTX 285 will also overclock to the same speed as 65nm GTX280. Naturally the future might change this but this will require a new board that is a bit different than the reference designed one.
