Computex 08: Has four heatpipes

On top of motherboards, ELSA was also displaying a Geforce 9800 GT graphics card and seemed more than happy to display the full monty when it came to the specifications of this unannounced Nvidia GPU.

The GPU will be clocked at 630MHz, while the GDDR3 memory will run at 1,800MHz, although no Shader clocks were listed, but at least ELSA pointed out that the 9800 GT will use 112 stream processors, which is the same as the 8800 GT. The card will have 1GB of memory and it has a pair of DVI ports, as well as a TV-out connector.

The card uses a cooler we haven't come across before, which uses four heatpipes, which seems a little bit excessive for a card of this caliber; and it also has a pair of rather large fans to help cool it. One interesting detail is that there's a space for a Molex connector which hasn't been fitted to the PCB, and this is something we haven't seen on any other high-end, Nvidia-based PCIe cards.
