Cebit 08: It can power down

Nvidia told us yesterday that one of the important features of their Geforce 9-series is that you will be able to switch the cards off, and in Hybrid power mode you will be able to save power by shutting down the card completely.

This will have a positive impact on your power bill, especially when you don't play games; and this is one of the key features of this new generation.

In real life, Geforce 9-series, or more precisely 9800 GTX and GTS, will be using the same chip, just branded differently.
