Minor bug fixes, performance improvements

The
Geforce driver engineering team at Nvidia have just released a new addition to the Geforce 195 driver series, dated November 20, 2009. According to the release notes, Geforce 195.62 WHQL-candidate drivers are almost identical to the previous Geforce 195.55 WHQL-candidate release with the addition of several bug fixes and improved stability.

Under Windows Vista and Windows 7, the drivers address an issue with Windows Media Center crashing on the Geforce 210 when playing VC1 or MPEG2 HD content at 1080p resolution. The more notable fixes in this release address occasional frame stutter in Fallout 3, lack of antialiasing in Borderlands when applied through the NV Control Panel, driver crashing in 3DMark 2006, poor performance and flickering in Need For Speed: Shift on the Geforce GTX 260 and GTX 280, and failed transcoding in Badaboom when browsing a video file.

Nvidia’s full release notes for the Geforce 195.62 WHQL-candidate release are made available separately for Windows XP and Windows 7 / Vista.

For some reason, Nvidia’s driver links to this release have been incorrectly linked to the previous 195.55 release. We have added the appropriate URL links below. The drivers can be downloaded here:
