Sonic with 512MB more

After the launch of its HD 4870 and HD 4850 512MB Sonic cards, Palit has decided to announce the new Sonic HD 4850, the one that comes with 1GB of memory.

The card is based on the well-known RV770 GPU that works at 685MHz and comes with 1024MB of memory clocked at 2,000MHz. Just as it was the case with previous HD 4800 Sonic cards, this one also features a 3-phase power and has an 8-pin PCI-Express power connector.

Unfortunately, the card is neither listed nor does it have a fixed availability date, so we will have to wait a bit for this one. Whether or not an additional 512MB is worth the extra cash is something that will have to be seen.
