Dual slot card

According to a short review at Palit's forums, we can expect Palit's HD 4850 Sonic to show its face on the market very soon. The card uses a custom dual slot cooler and works at 685MHz for the core. It also comes with 512MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2,000MHz.

The custom cooling isn't the only new thing, as Palit decided to tweak this card so it comes with an 8-pin PCI-Express power connector which should make sure that this card gets enough power for even higher clocks. Some information reveals that the card will have a redesigned power module, but that is something that we can't confirm at press time.

The cooler is a dual-slot design with dual heatpipes and a rather large 80mm fan that spins from 1000RPM in idle to around 2000RPM under load, which is enough to keep this card cool and silent.
