No precise core clock yet

According to a leaked slide over at XTReview.com, it appears that the Radeon HD 7950 will end up with a total of 1792 stream processors and same 3GB of GDDR5 memory paried up with a 384-bit memory interface.

Unfortunately, the leaked slide doesn't include the precise core clock or even the actual TDP of the card. According to the known specs, the HD 7950 aka. Tahiti Pro, will end up with a total of 28 GCN compute units, or simply 1792 stream processors. It will pack 112 texture units and 32 ROPs.

There have been some rumours regarding the precise clocks as these should end up at around 900MHz for the GPU but as always take these rumours with a pinch of salt. There has been also some rumours regarding the 1.5GB version of the HD 7950 but that one should come at a later date.

For now, the HD 7950 card is scheduled to be launched on January 9th with a price tag set at US $449, a good hundred bucks less than the HD 7970.

You can check out the slide here.
