Six new Radeon 6000 parts show up

Some APUs, some renamed Evergreen 5000 cards
It looks like the six new Radeon listed in the new developers driver feature some renames and some of the first APUs to be released by AMD.

The new brands include ATI Radeon HD 6230, ATI Radeon HD 6250, ATI Radeon HD 6290, ATI Radeon HD 6390, ATI Radeon HD 6510 and ATI Radeon HD 6750.

This is not a typo the actual listing actually say that the cards are ATI’s and not AMD’s. Someone won’t be happy about it.

These are two possibilities as the Radeon HD 6200 can be either renamed Radeon HD 54x0 and 5500 series or it can be the brand that they will use for faster unannounced Zacate Fusion GPU. The later is quite unlikely as they already set the Radeon HD 6310 for 500MHz clocked Zacate, but you never know. If it’s a 5000 rename it’s a Redwood based chip, at least it should be.

The ATI Radeon HD 6510 has 68D9 product ID, something that fits in ATI Radeon HD 5690 brand name. This could be a part reserved for OEM customers. The most powerful rename is the ATI Radeon HD 6750, based on ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series and Juniper codenamed chip.

The listing is here.

Since Radeon HD 6300 is Zacate, HD 6200 is probably Ontario.

So 5750 to be replaced by 6750?

It seems to me kinda strange that you will be needing to update drivers for something inside your cpu, but I guess this will start the whole new APU era.

Thank God it's AMD starting this, or else, if it was Nvidia's, a failed driver could stop your fan and burn both the gpu and the cpu at the same time. lol

I think it's still ATI because they're Evergreen based and only NI and post will get the AMD prefix.

6200 is Fusion based I'm like 100% on it.
I've seen 62xx being paired up with the fusion name Ontario/Zacate in an offical statement by some AMD dudes.

That would cause some terrible balls-ache. DOn't you ever mention something like this again. :o

I would be happy if someone else than Fuad would handle ATI/AMD related news around here.

Doctor, 10 days ago I woke into some sort of parallel universe and stayed there ever since... I've been reading obvious nVidia headlines about grumpy partners, delays, renames, single digit yields, flagships pushed back to Q1 etc., but Fudzilla keeps sticking AMD/Radeon logos underneath 'em instead. My world is upside down!

Now if only I can get Agent Dunham's number and make the most out of this mess...

Not sure why you were voted down, it appears that the 6700 series is literally just a rebranded 5700 series card!
