MW3 to get 20 DLC packs

Written by David Stellmack

Elite premium members get them early

Now that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been released and some of the action has died down, the attention turns to the upcoming DLC map packs that Activision is expected to offer for MW3.

The latest talk says that the company is planning no less than 20 separate map packs for release for MW3. As expected, Call of Duty Elite premium members will receive the DLC ahead of its general release, but we don’t yet know how early this will actually be.

Leaked screen shots over the weekend have led to talk of the first five maps in DLC pack one as Morning Wood, Concrete, Park, Italy, and Overwatch. It should be pointed out (as if you didn’t already know) that Overwatch is the title of a MW2 map and there is no telling if there is a remake of that map for MW3 or not.

20 map packs makes us want to scratch our heads and wonder if this isn’t a bit too much left out of the game. Why not include more of this content, rather than milking the players for more cash? However, if there is money to be made, then someone will try to cash in.

This is no different then years before. Part of the Elite service is they will be releasing maps as they are finished so Elite members will have 20 different DLC things to download. Non Elite members will get 4 different map packs containing 5 maps for $15 each at a later date. And like all DLC you are not forced to buy it so quit complaining about the price.

20 DLC.... I'm gonna bet the majority of those are map packs and gonna bet the majority of those are remakes of the past games maps with minor tweaks if that and resold as a premium.

Just like what Activision has done with MW3 and just resold it to the sheep for $59.99

Being as a lot of GameStops have reported their MW3's are being traded back in, i'm at all surprised at this move and the fact the game has a 2.0 Metacritic by users.

The DLC gets 20 more DLC's ,wow they sure seem to know COD players are silly enough to pay for a rehashed game with no real update to graphics or game-play and call it new ,and they still buy it full price.Might as well call it MW2 DLC still as nothings changed except the storyline.SUCKERS
