Call me synical but isn't it quite a coincidence that they will be getting better yield toward the end of Q1 2010...oh thats when Fermi is due to start shipping in quantity....perhaps Nvidia's influence extends further than to just game developers.

That is if Fermi comes out then lol

that wont help nvidia a lot. they want to be out with fermi in march, so they have to get the volume chips probably in ~ late january to get the boards ready and send them to the partners which label and package them.

Late Q1 seems TSMCs target to improve the yields, seems they postponed that again. Obviously the prolems are bigger than anybody including TSMC itself thought, thats why they think the time until march must be enough to fix that. But what if it isn't? Nobody can read the future, the industry is just hoping to get it done, but if they can do it right then remains to be seen.
