Battlefield 3

I know many people have interest in Modern Warfare 2, but after hearing about the removal of dedicated servers i am not sure i am even going to bother with MW2 and wait for Battlefield 3 i know its still a good year away from being released but i have a heavy clan background and it's going to be hard to train/practice with my clan on public servers  very strange move by Infinity Ward.

Anyway my Question is would you wait a year for your next game ? or would you purchase mw2 knowing there are no dedicated servers ?

I had heard that DICE weren't going to be doing true dedicated servers either, you would have to rent them from one of their partner companies at a certain cost.

I hope DICE does not do this.  It's ruining multiplayer games for the PC.  MW2 for the PC was a big letdown for this reason.  Single player is great, multiplayer could be better.

While waiting for Battlefield 3, I'm hoping Battlefield: Bad Company 2 keeps me occupied. DICE says they're going to have dedicated servers for the PC version of the game, so if the game does well in sales, Battlefield 3 will probably also have dedicated servers.

Bad Company 2 is shaping up nicely, although I'm enjoying MW2 on the PC - it's not as bad as I feared.
