ive tossed and turned over it and while i know the 5870 is the responsible choice i have the chance to get the gainward GLH edition for a little bit cheaper than a 5870. Can anyone provide me with any major complaints about the x2? I did have trouble with the younger 4850x2 but this gainward edition is such a beast.
All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated-  cheers

I don't have one myself but isn't there a problem with some x2 cards in that they are based of crossfire so not all games use both chips from the get go? I know this is the situation with internal SLI cards (like teh GTX 295) hence EVGA (i think) doing their own interum drivers to tide users over till the proper Nvidia releases.

it definitely varies from game to game but I made the responsible choice and ordered a sapphire 5870. The GLH edition looked so cool but considering the 5870 can pull under 30w or something insanely low on idle and has windows 7/ direct x 11 compatibility is too good. I also thought of the possible issues of having the GLH edition on a 32 bit os which might cause memory recognition issues so yeah. In hind sight it would have been smart to wait for the 5850 but oh well
