AVG 8.0 Recent Update

AVG has recently produced an update that is around 15MB and when I updated my IE didnt work AT ALL - No Internet, BUT I did have e mail!

I used the system restore to an earlier date, undoing the update and everything now works OK

I tried deleting AVG and re downloading it but got the same problem.

If I update up to the large 15MB update, I find my e mail scanner is deactivated and I cannot re set it.

I have also updated my spy bot seach and destroy which now prompts me to allow changes which I have done that are AVG.

I dont know what I have done wrong.

At the moment I am operating without AVG at all.

Any ideas as this is driving me mad and all the system restores wont be doing my computer much good I suspect!
