Now didn't Intel just get slapped with a big fine on similar practices you think they would learn?

Also I assume there is something to stop companies buying the chipset etc and then binning it?

Lol, there must be alot of cheap surplus 945GC boards in the channel if every company would just buy the bundle and then use the Atom for an ION. I like that idea, because nowadays 945GC ist still an often considered platform for lowcost Core2 DDR2 based business Computer (or spreadsheet PCs as we call them in the NOC, real business is different hehe).

but nevertheless, please sue them and win Nvidia! I would almost buy a fermi if you do that hehe!

There we go, I think we have solved the problem for Nvidia, they just subtly suggest it to their partners to do this. There must though be something in their contract with Intel that dictates what they are allowed to use the chipsets for, unforunately we wouldn't get to have a look at these (or understand them if we did lol)
