     ...do I really have to sell my QX9650 for $800, my motherboard, and my sexy DDR2 Ballistix Tracers just for better performance from Nehalem?

really these days what's the point? Oh wow i just edited high defenition content like a bajillion times faster? (but if you do do any type of video editing than i guess youd be happy and the coolit cpu cooler for the nehalm looks so awesome)

According to the 10 hours of research I've done on Nehalem (sigh... ), it turns out after all that it will offer a 30-40% overall performance increase over Penryn.

I was very skeptical, until this quote confirmed my choice:

"What Intel did to AMD in 2006, it is doing to itself in 2008."


And as of today, now that we've seen Nvidia's PhysX drivers are so CPU dependent, it might not be such a bad idea if you know what I mean.

that is a good point and im sure w'll see some type of nvidea propaganda featuring that extremely attractive female (who showed us just how easy it is to overclock your gpu........ with liquid nitrogen) and will some how explain howthe next generation of nvidea cards will give us all the performance with only a single intel core cpu old school style!
