Solid State drives

The title says it all. Has anybody tried these new drives? They are extremely expensive and I know they are supposed to run faster and last longer because they have no moving parts.

The lasting depands on the write frequency. If you write sequential there are no problems, but if you write always the same blocks, the durability will dramtically reduce.
