16  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: Expected dates for ATI 900 generation? on: December 31, 2009, 09:32:48 AM
Cool, thought it was about then. Now the big question is can Nvidia get its current gen out by the time ATI gets the next iteration out? lol  Tongue
17  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Expected dates for ATI 900 generation? on: December 28, 2009, 07:23:14 AM
Is there any news on how far into the future this might be?
18  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: EYEFINITY 6 is for sale on ebay NOW. get it quickly.. on: December 28, 2009, 07:21:25 AM
No thanks. I don't want to blow 3250 USD on a motherboard, CPU, and GPU. I could have about five or six excellent complete gaming PCs for the same price.

Down to $3000 now, thinking of changing your mind yet Wink

Those clocks are really high, would be interesting to see the power draw on the consumer card with similar clocks and whether it is even possible to put a dual card out...
20  Software / Windows / Re: Windows 7 Student Discount on: December 24, 2009, 07:44:44 AM
Didn't check those websites but most Universities have an arrangement with Microsoft via their computer science departments allowing students free access to WIndows 7, it might be worth checking up on that

26  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: Nvidia 195.62 WHQL has been released. on: December 13, 2009, 05:00:17 AM
Is it a blue screen straight away? I am not familiar with that card but a friend had one (or a similar one) where you couldn't have it at a specific temperature, you had to rush it past it otherwise it would clog the entire system up with interupts but it was only at a specific temp, once past it was fine

Google translation from turkish:

Might explain some of the restrictions on the 5870s if they are moving the focus to the 5890. The cooler looks very similar to the one on the 5970 though.
