1  Welcome to Fudzilla Forum / General Discussion / AMD releases Catalyst 9.12 on: December 19, 2009, 02:23:53 PM
Does anyone know if 9.12 fixes the issues the witcher has with the 5 series cards? Im still occupied with dragon age but it would be nice to go back and play through a bit.
2  Software / Games / Re: Modern Warfare 2 on: November 06, 2009, 03:40:15 PM
pc gamers made this series viable and profitable yet now they receive the worst treatment? No thanks Ill be sticking with borderlands and dragon age. If anyone needs help quitting wow grab borderlands, it helps me relax when im close to relapse
3  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: 4870x2 or 5870 on: October 01, 2009, 10:41:37 AM
it definitely varies from game to game but I made the responsible choice and ordered a sapphire 5870. The GLH edition looked so cool but considering the 5870 can pull under 30w or something insanely low on idle and has windows 7/ direct x 11 compatibility is too good. I also thought of the possible issues of having the GLH edition on a 32 bit os which might cause memory recognition issues so yeah. In hind sight it would have been smart to wait for the 5850 but oh well
4  Hardware / Graphics Cards / 4870x2 or 5870 on: October 01, 2009, 07:37:11 AM
ive tossed and turned over it and while i know the 5870 is the responsible choice i have the chance to get the gainward GLH edition for a little bit cheaper than a 5870. Can anyone provide me with any major complaints about the x2? I did have trouble with the younger 4850x2 but this gainward edition is such a beast.
All comments and opinions are greatly appreciated-  cheers

6  Welcome to Fudzilla Forum / General Discussion / Razer Naga on: August 23, 2009, 01:42:48 AM
hey fudzilla staff just wondering if you've been able to get a sample of the Razer Nagaor or heard about when they start moving them out?
7  Hardware / Hard Disk Drive / Re: Would you like to have 8TB hard drive on: August 18, 2009, 06:20:15 PM
a lot of people in the entertainment industry are actually willing to pay whatever it costs for stuff like this. More and more djs and mcs (al least the anal ones) are leaving their mixes in flac or using hd video backdrops. My 1T seagate is running with less than 100g free (used for storage only) and while I wont be running out to buy an 8T hard drive I will appreciate the fact that the one I will buy will be considerably cheaper due to these advancements. I mean I paid over $400 for my hd a couple of years ago and now theyre just over $100 (au prices). All I can say is hip hip hurray for free enterprise markets  Lips sealed
8  Hardware / Notebooks / Re: ASUS Eee PC 1000H - The Best Laptop Award & the Best Green Gadget Award on: August 18, 2009, 06:10:24 PM
Its kinda like an ipod, '20+ hours of battery life in a single charge'. Its usually mathematically calculated to specific usage like bot having a back light on not having the volume very loud, none of which most users ever do but it sounds good for marketing. I have a few mates with Asus eee pc's and they are very reliable and extremely handy at uni caus you generally dont have to lug around the ac adapter which is nice. That being said though I just cant get used to typing up an assignment on the 10 inch keyboard, just feels unnatural.
9  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: the 4890 on: April 05, 2009, 02:30:55 AM
also exactly how will the 275 be faster because of the reviews ive seen so far the 4890 beats the gtx 285 in a few tests before even being overclocked and from a spreadsheet point the 275 has less ROPs, slower core, shader & memory clocks (same trans count) so whats the duce?
10  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: Top 10 Graphics Cards on: April 03, 2009, 12:40:11 AM
wow pretty much same performance but u never have to worry about crossfire issues. Honestly though stock 4870s are now under $300 and high end overclocked gtx 260s at about $350. Tough choice

just wondering how the 4890 will compare to the 4850x2? I know itll be more energy efficient and wont suffer from crossfire issues but most people only care about performance and price so how will they compare?
13  Hardware / Graphics Cards / Re: RV790: Why is there so much conflicting information? on: March 10, 2009, 09:26:21 AM
this card should do pretty well in Australia if it comes out somewhere in April which in coincidentally the same month when people pretty much all around the country will receive their $900 from our governments latest stimulus package Cheesy that's right everyone i'm doing whats right by the country by buying this card... i'm very patriotic   Wink

15  Hardware / Others / Re: Blackberry bold or iphone? on: February 20, 2009, 03:35:39 AM
i was in a similar situation as you and for a large amount of time i wanted to get an o2 flame as it was the most hardcore pda/phone you could get. Unfortunately o2 stopped producing and never gave the option to update the phone to windows mobile 6 which is a VAST improvement from 5. Firstly it depends where you live. I live in Sydney so getting a phone with wi fi isnt that great due to the lack of hot spots so I just pay extra for a data pack. Secondly it depends what you really want from the phone. The best thing about the iphone is the applications you can get for it..without a doubt. However i have no use for them so i didnt get one. My girlfriend ended up buying me a nokia e71 for my birthday and its great, slim lightweight and does everything i want it to, even plays divx with downloadable app or just convert format.

That being said the blackberry is really superior in every way. Better screen and faster processor are the main things that make it better but in general and perhaps most importantly...build quality and reliability. Those black berries are workhorses and are like swiss army knives in phone form. However Im not sure if itll be able to match the ipods versatility as an mp3 player e.g. navigation, bit rating and capacity etc. Once again its really depends on what youll use it for most. That being said you should check out the new range samsung is putting out (only bad thing about them is that they're made by samsung   Lips sealed )
