IPC stands for "instructions per cycle" in the context of CPU designs, while "interprocess communication" is what it translates to for software engineering. It looks like you didn't "find that out", but googled it and picked the wrong result. You're not really gathering credibility as a tech related site, fumbling like that Wink.

The mainboard on the picture clearly has a PGA socket while the 1207 is for LGA packages, so unless AMD seriously changed the physical specifications for the "+" in 1207+, the pictured board most likely is for AM2(+) CPUs.
