But it’s coming 

There is no sign of the new Geforce GTX 260, the one with more Shader units. From all we heard from people we usually talk to, this new card won't launch in September, or in the next two weeks.

Nvidia's partners are still concentrating on Geforce GTX 280 and 260 cards and Geforce 9800GTX+ in this market and once Nvidia moves for the new GTX 260, the partners will start selling them. There are still too many GTX 260 cards in the channel to launch a new card, but we wouldn't be surprised if Nvidia launches a new GTX 260 and simply drops the price for existing "old" GTX 260 parts.

Nvidia is not doing particularly well against new Radeon 4870 X2 and 4870 cards, and there is nothing that can change this fact, at least nothing that comes in next few weeks. We will keep our eyes open.
