Intel Essential Series D945GCLF2

Intel's
new Intel Essential Series D945GCLF2 mini-ITX board with a dual-core Atom 330 has been listed on several European e-tail sites.

The board/CPU combo costs €62, some €15 more than the single-core Atom 230 based board. Intel's Atom 330 is clocked at 1.6GHz, just like its single core sibling, and so far this is the only version out there. Don't expect this to change anytime soon.

The new board features VGA, 6x USB 2.0, Gb LAN, 2x SATA, 2.0 Audio and one PCI slot and comes with a three-year warranty if you go for the retail pack.

Retailers expect the new board in stock in late August. You can find the listing here.
