Retail availability in October?
According to Digitimes, Intel is bringing forward the launch of the Bloomfield processor and the X58 chipset and a paper launch is scheduled for some time in September. However, Digitimes is also stating that retail availability won't happen until sometime in October.

We haven't managed to confirm this as yet and we're not sure why Intel would've brought the launch forward by a month or two. It could have something to do with US holidays, but since Thanksgiving isn't until the end of November, we're not sure if Intel is trying to aim for Halloween here.

So far Digitimes is the only source for this rumour and until we've managed to confirm this, we're not going to read too much into it, but Intel has been know to move forward product launches in the past.
