Getting ready for a CPU + GPU

We've seen
that SB800 Southbridge will be good enough even for a Fusion generation of CPU. Let's remind you, Fusion is ATI’s CPU with integrated GPU. SB750 Southbridge is going to solve many problems, but SB800, the one that should replace SB7x0 generation, looks far more enhanced compared to the older one.

One of the key things is that SB800 is ready for Fusion generation of the CPUs. Fusion should come in 2009, but probably first as a notebook part and then it will follow to the desktop market.

It looks that at least the chipset group is ready for it, but it will be a while before we see Fusion shipping.
