Too many
Nvidia’s European partners are not happy with Nvidia these days. Everyone we know is complaining that these days the green team simply lets anyone be a partner.
Nvidia USA has 12 partners and some of them are way too small to be considered as a real threat, while Nvidia Europe has 20 partners listed at its partner Website and some sources even claim 24 as the actual number of European partners.
It becomes quite tough to sell your cards if you have so many companies competing and the market becomes a total mess. These days you don’t even need a technical support unit and a warehouse to be an Nvidia partner.
As ATI is coming back with a really good RV770 chip and strong portfolio, Nvidia might have some loyalty problems and these will be the times to test Nvidia’s partners' souls.
Nvidia is renown for treating their partners poorly and playing “supply and hide” games with every single one of them. We believe that what goes around comes around and that Nvidia will eventually reap the debts of its past.
