OC2 and OCX editions

BFG has announced two more graphics cards in its GTX 280 series. These two will be slightly overclocked and will use Nvidia's reference design.

The new BFG GTX 280 OC2 edition works at 650MHz for the core, 2,326MHz for 1GB of the GDDR3 memory and a shader clock of 1,404MHz for those 240 stream processors, or as Nvidia now calls them, "cores".

The BFG GTX 280 OCX has an even higher overclock as it works at 665MHz for the core, 2,400MHz for memory and 1,458MHz for the shader clock. Looks like BFG is following the 670MHz Nvidia limit, but we have seen that it can also go even higher, so BFG still lags behind XFX and Zotac.
This is what these two new cards look like.
