Asus's 1GB HD 4850 listed for £160.96 Print E-mail

Overclockers.co.uk on pre-order

The first non-reference cooled Radeon HD 4850 card that comes with 1GB of GDDR3 memory is listed for pre-order at Overclockers.co.uk site.

The card works at reference clocks 625MHz for the core and 1,986MHz for 1024MB of GDDR3 memory. The card uses Asus's Glaciator cooler which makes this card a dual slot solution, but the GPU might not heat up to an 80 degrees, like we have seen on the reference cooled cards.

The price of £160.96 (€203) might look a bit too much, but you must bear in mind that the reference HD 4850 card costs up to £138.64 (€175). We are talking about a price that includes VAT. We already wrote about this Asus card, and you can find the picture of it below.
