Reasons unknown

Sony Ericsson Mobile Comunications has recently announced that its VP and Head of Marketing has decided to leave the company on March 31st 2008.

Dee came to the company in the 2002 and became the head of marketing back in 2003. He is the one man that can take credit for the company's huge marketing presence in tennis. As we wrote recently, Sony Ericsson has signed the biggest sponsorship contract in history of women’s tennis tour. He is also responsible for signing the sponsorship deal with famous tennis player, Maria Sherapova. With this deal, Sony Ericsson gained a first global sponsorship model.

In a statement Sony Ericsson vowed to keep up with its participation in tennis events. The sponsorship deals were taken over by Aldo Liguori, Head of Global Communications and PR at the company.

Dee's replacement isn't announced, but that information will be published as soon as the procedure is done.
