U.S. version available in Europe

It seems
that the chaps from komplett.de just couldn't wait for Asus to ship its Eee to Euroland in volume. They opted for a somewhat unorthodox way of getting the popular notebook back into stock and imported the U.S. version.

The Yankee 4G Eee's are being offered at €339, slightly higher price tag than the suggested MSRP of €299. However, you can go for a 2G version in pink, green or blue for €289. To our knowledge, this is the first time the 2G has been offered to European consumers.

Asus better shape up for its own good. The competition in this market segment is heating up and the company can ill afford similar product shortages in the future.

You can check out the listing here.
