You have to love the Pirate Bay guys, they regularly provide us with fun stuff to write and read about. Yes, unlike our own Lars Göran Nilsson, some Swedes actually have a sense of humor, and their latest stunt proves it best.

Pirate Bay has taken over IFPI.com, a domain previously used by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, and from now on the acronym will be used to promote the International Federation of Pirate Interests.

Torrentfreak.com got in touch with Brokep, a Pirate Bay administrator, and asked him how they got the domain in the first place.

“It’s not a hack, someone just gave us the domain name. We have no idea how they got it, but it’s ours and we’re keeping it,” said Brokep, “International Federation of Pirate Interests (IFPI) is the new international federation we’re starting in order to get the word of piracy spread.”
