Cedarview-D samples a year away

We managed to get some news about Cedarview-D dual-core desktop Atom 2011 32nm parts and our industry sources claim that if all goes well it should get to engineering sample phase one in Q4 2010.

Remember, this is the best case scenario and could easily be delayed. Engineering sample phase two should happen in late Q1 2011 while the qualification samples might be ready in Q2 2011. The production might start in early Q3 2011 and the launch would follow after.

Since the product is a year from the engineering sample stage, a lot of things can go wrong and schedules can slip but it’s evident that this CPU won’t come out before Q3 2011.
