More affordable PS-100 series

Patriot has announced a newest line of its solid state drives that will be known under the PS-100 brand. These drives will be available in capacities ranging from 32 to 256GB and should be quite affordable, or to be precise, cheaper than anything that Patriot released so far.

The drives are packed in a standard 2.5-inch case and feature 64MB of on board cache. Unfortunately there is no word about the precise specs of the NAND chips or the controller for that matter, but that combination should provide read and write speeds of 210MB/s and 150MB/s.

The new PS-100 SSD line has a MTBF of 2.5 million hours and should consume up to 5.3W under load and 0.5W in idle. The entire lineup is currently listed and available over at Alternate.de with price tags ranging from €104,90 for the 32GB version to €749 for the 256GB one.

You can find them all listed here, and Alternate.de prices can be found here.
