Pine Trail is Intel's Atom platform for 2010 that should last until some point of 2011 when it will be replaced by Cedar Trail, a 32nm Atom platform. After this the next, next generation Atom should launch in 2013, and Cedar Trail will have to last for a good part of 2011 and the whole of 2012.

These plans tend to change but if all stays on track, the next generation Atom 2013 should launch in the first months of 2013.

At this time, Intel should have its 22nm production up to speed and can make an educated guess that Atom 2013 might have a 22nm core. Since the sole point of Atom is to save power, 22nm makes perfect sense, but only in 2013 for Atoms.
