Brand new Pi heatspreaders to match

G.Skill claims to have released the world's fastest DDR3 DRAM modules working at 2200MHz. This new 4GB kit is targeting Intel's Lynnfield Core i7 processors and features a new design of G.Skill's Pi heatspreaders.

The kit works at 2200MHz with CL 7-10-10-28 latencies and at 1.65Volts. It is a 4GB (2x2GB) kit that is specially tuned for Intel's Lynnfield Core i7 870 and 860 processors, but we are quite sure that it will be more than happy to work on other configurations as well.

The new kit uses a brand new design of the Pi heatspreaders and the kit will be bundled with G.Skill's Turbulence memory fan that should give it a bit more overclocking headroom, or at least some tighter latencies.

The kit should be available pretty soon but the price has only been announced as "affordable".
