AMD Exec VP promises Fusion in 2011 Print E-mail

Just as we
said a few of our recent articles, AMD's Llano fusion that just got confirmed by AMD's highest executives is planned for 2011. AMD went on the record and told its investors and financial analysts about the plans.


Fusion is AMD's third attempt to put CPU and GPU together and the one that was expected in 2008 got canceled years ago, while the 45nm version got canceled just recently. This is AMD's third attempt to deliver on the Fusion promise.

32nm and Llano are important and AMD's Rick Bergman promises that in 2011 the company will "deliver the promise...the promise of AMD Fusion“. He also adds that that Fusion CPU and GPU will give you „supercomputing power in a notebook that lasts all day.“
