DFI readies first P55 mini-ITX board |

Talk about a niche market
DFI is readying the DFI MI P55-T36, the world's first mini-ITX P55 board, and get this, it is
specifically targeting overclockers.
As it's a mini-ITX board, it measures 170x170mm, so it will probably
look a bit strange with a huge overclock friendly cooler. Not to
mention that such a cooler just won't fit into a regular ITX chassis.
Of course, if you choose to stick to the stock cooler, or a low profile
cooler such as a Scyhte Katana, you should still be able to squeeze out
a
bit of extra performance. Nonetheless, the prospect of packing a Core
i5 in an ITX chassis sounds great, but there's a catch. There's no
onboard graphics, so you'll have to use a card, preferably a low
profile one.
The board features a PCIe 16x slot, 2 DDR3 memory slots, 6 phase PWM with solid state capacitors, 7.1 channel audio with optical output, 6 USB ports, Gigabit ethernet, and a host of other goodies.
Sadly, there's no word on pricing yet, but don't expect it to come cheap.
