Otellini didn't talk to AIB partners

Yesterday we carried a Digitimes report which alleged that Intel CEO Paul Otellini talked to several graphics card vendors in China regarding possible Larabee shipments.

However, today we got word from an Intel spokesman that the Digitimes report wasn't quite right. According to the Digitimes report, Otellini discussed preferential pricing and possible bundles for partners who would adopt Larabee. "That is completely untrue," said an Intel spokesman.

We're sorry for any inconvenience our report might have caused, but it's really not our fault. (No, it's yours. sub.ed.)
