Intel to offer preferential pricing, bundles

According
to Digitimes, Intel CEO Paul Otellini talked to several Chinese graphics card vendors in a bit to promote Intel’s upcoming Larrabee GPU.

Intel plans, or hopes to launch Larrabee sometime in 2010, and it’s offering some goodies for AIBs who decide to adopt the new architecture. Intel will apparently offer preferential pricing for Larrabee and it will offer it bundled with other Intel chips to make it a bit more appealing.

However, using bundling as a sales strategy might not work with smaller AIBs, as they are limited to the graphics market. Bigger partners, who manufacture motherboards, notebooks and other products aside from graphics might stand to benefit quite a lot.
