A quick check in the main e-tailer store in the US has proven that North Americans can buy Radeon HD 5870 and that the cards from Sapphire and Diamond are readily available.
Sapphire wants $379.99 for SAPPHIRE 100281SR Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video - Retail while Diamond wants $384.99 for its DIAMOND 5870PE51G Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video- Retail.
Tiggerdirect also has Diamond ATI Radeon HD5870 Video Card - 1024MB/1GB, GDDR5, PCIe, Dual Link, DVI but wants $394.99 to ship them today to you. So if you don’t mind spending at least $380 + shipping Radeon HD 5870 is reality, at least if you are based or visiting the US.
At press time its really hard to find these cards in Europe and the one place we found it listed wants €380, some €50 more than a suggested retail price.
