Hardware.info managed to find Radeon's HD 5870 at an European e-tail shop Salland.eu for €319. Although, the price for the HD 5870 1GB card was set at US $399, the European price was never mentioned. 

The card that will be at Salland.eu is from a partner, and the pictures show a reference card with 1GB of memory, but we are quite sure that some partners might at least place a sticker over the fan. The model number is 21161-00-50R and we believe that the price might be even lower once other retail/e-tail shops start listing it.
