20W to 55W for dual and quad

If AMD mobile division survives all the way to 2011, Fusion, something that DAAMIT (AMD and ATI) promised back in 2005, might see the light of day.

Fusion is what we know as CPU and GPU together and now AMD calls it LIano, yes capital “I” is how they write it. Update: We got several emails that this is not a capital I, its actually another l as Llano is a town in Texas.

This CPU/GPU will have up to four cores, probably two and four cores versions should be derived and it will have a native integrated GPU. It won’t be two dies like Intel’s Clarksdale and Arrandale, we are sure that LIano is all native CPU/GPU.

The platform uses DDR3 and DDR3L(1.35V) and 128-bit floating point. The chip comes as uPGA and BGA depending on the platform and it will be done in 32nm since the 45nm fusion got cancelled and was probably too hot.

The TDP for both CPU and GPU will vary from 20W to 55W depending on the platform. We expect it roughly in mid-2011, but this is something we are not sure of.
