Core i5 DDR3 kits

In order to give some credit to new Intel LGA-1156 processors that are just few weeks away, Corsair is preparing couple of dual-channel DDR3 kits that should start appearing in retail/e-tail as soon as P55 motherboards start showing up.

All kits are a part of Corsair's well known XMS3 series and will be available in 8 and 4GB capacities. Three out of four are working at 1600MHz while there will only be a single one at lower 1333MHz clock. Single kit will have a 8-8-8-24 latency while the rest of the bunch will have to settle for 9-9-9-24.

We guess that these will target, what is known to be, a mainstream part of the market, while the high-end will have to wait for some dual-channel Dominator GT's which will come soon enough as Corsair has already launch those for AMD platform.

Here is the full list of LGA-1156 loving XMS3 kits that are known so far.

- CMX8GX3M4A1333C9 - 4GB (2GB x 2) | 1333 MHz | 9-9-9-24

- CMX8GX3M4A1600C9 - 4GB (2GB x 2) | 1600 MHz | 9-9-9-24
- CMX4GX3M2A1600C8 - 2GB (1GB x 2) | 1600 MHz | 8-8-8-24
