can support DDR3 1333 and when we say it can, we mean officially. We are aware of the fact that most Bloomfield CPUs run DDR3 1333 and even DDR3 1600+ or higher, but these speeds are not officially supported.

The upcoming new high end CPU from Intel, the Gulftown aims at 12MB of total cache, 2MB per core and DDR3 1066 memory. Since Gulftown should use a triple channel memory there must be some kind of limitation with three channel memory and speeds higher than DDR3 1066.

Lynnfield, second generation Nehalem architecture core, supports DDR3 1333 but it has only two memory channels.
