Lucas Arts' recent tweet was anything but subtle as the company posted an iPhone-sized wallpaper with an equally subtle statement reading: “For our Monkey fans - an iPhone sized wallpaper. No reason. Wink wink nod nod.”

Many have interpreted this move as an announcement of an iPhone version of the popular The Secret of Monkey Island series, as the special edition of the game should hit Steam and Xbox Live Arcade on 15th of July, for PC and Xbox 360.

Unfortunately even if this does turn out to be true, the screen limitations might throw of those who’d like to play this game on the iPhone, but you never know as Lucas Arts tends to surprise.
