Could end up cheap

Hitachi
has launched its biggest hard drive so far, the Desktstar 2TB HD32000IDK7.

Seagate and WD already have 2TB units on the market, but there's a chance Hitachi's drive could end up a bit cheaper than the competition.

There's nothing thrilling about the spec, 7200RPM, 32MB of cache, perpendicular recording, and what Hitachi is calling "best-in-class" power managementand thermals.

You can find the product page here.
