Hand picked chips

OCZ has posted some new and quite interesting info about its next endeavor in the SSD part of the market which will apparently be called Vertex Turbo.

The drive should end up around ten percent faster than Vertex and it will still use MLC chips, which are hand picked this time around. The drive should offer up to 278MB of read and 213MB of write speed. There is no internal RAID but both the NAND chips and controllers are hand picked so it should be the best that Vertex can offer.

The new Vertex Turbo is coming soon, and this top of the notch MLC based SSD can be considered as an overclocked Vertex. According to the same thread, the drives should arrive at OCZ next week and then ship to retail/e-tail stores.
